When we are faced with something or someone that we perceive (consciously or unconsciously) as a threat, our bodies activate an old evolutionary response called “Fight of Flight.” Stress levels rise and hormones like cortisol, adrenaline, epinephrine, and norepinephrine are released to increase alertness, heighten blood pressure, and tense muscles so that we can survive. In most cases, though, there is no real threat and our lives aren’t actually in danger, but our bodies don't know the difference. This maladaptive stress response can become chronic, almost like a default setting in the body until we interrupt the old patterns and learn new ways.
Chronic stress has been proven to negatively affect the functioning of every single system in your body including: Respiratory System, Cardiovascular System, Endocrine System, Nervous System, Digestive System, Reproductive System, and Immune System.
Chronic stress can lead to long-term changes in the structure and function of the brain; it can kill brain cells and even shrink the size of the brain. It negatively affects our ability to think clearly and make good decisions and can lead to increased anxiety, depression, brain fog, fatigue, difficulty focusing/concentrating, and memory loss.
Chronic stress increases inflammation and tension in the body and can lead to chronic physical pain and dis-ease.
Chronic stress affects the quality of our relationships. Think about it, how can we fully show up for and love someone else if our body and mind are operating from a place of “I’m not safe”?

These classes are for all levels with 2 new classes released each Saturday for the upcoming week (one best suited for am and one for pm). You will have lifetime access to these classes.

Frequent homework and journaling prompts to integrate and deepen the work we are doing.
Zoom sessions will last for 1.5 hrs on Saturday mornings @ 10 am PST and Wednesday evenings @ 5:30 pm PST. Each session will have a specific theme and include conversation, reflection, transformational coaching, and a live yoga practice.

This course is designed for all levels of yoga practitioners, and modifications will always be offered. That said, it is recommended to have at least a very basic understanding of the practice (i.e. know what a child’s pose is). There are many free videos online that can offer a basic intro!
There will always be modifications offered, but ultimately you are responsible for taking care of your body. You can absolutely still do this course but make sure that you have an understanding of what types of movements are best for you to avoid.
While it is definitely preferable to join the live Zoom sessions as there is live coaching and group work (and nourishing connection), sessions will be recorded. So, yes, you will still get a lot out of the course but do try to make the live times work for maximum impact!
This course will be delivered in real-time to your email inbox, with LIVE Zoom module/practice sessions lasting 1-1.5 hrs on Saturday mornings (10 am PST) and Wednesday evenings (5:30 pm PST).
You will receive 2 new 30 minute yoga class videos on Saturdays to use for your practices the upcoming week (one that is best to do in the AM, and one best suited for PM, depending on when you choose to practice that day).
When you sign up for this course, you are committing to a minimum of 30 minutes of yoga practice + 10 minutes of journaling each day for 21 days (40 minutes total). This does not include additional homework, and module call days. Remember, this course is a deep dive into this work and consistency is key to any transformation!
